What is CAT / JR CAT?
CAT (Counselor-in-Training) and JR CAT are leadership programs that give older Girl Scouts hands-on experience helping run camp β assisting activity leads, mentoring younger campers, and building leadership skills for the future.
JR CAT
For rising 8th graders taking their first steps into camp leadership, paired with an adult or CAT mentor.
CAT
For older teen scouts ready to take on more responsibility leading activities and supporting counselors.
Eligibility & Expectations
CAT and JR CAT participants are expected to attend the full camp week, complete a short training session beforehand, and model camp spirit for younger scouts. Camp set-up on Sunday, June 6th (the Sunday before camp) is mandatory.
